Every one of these 91 foundations is based in Oregon, gave to at least ten organizations we could identify, filed a return covering 2023 or later, and did not tell the IRS it funds only organizations it picks itself. Roughly three in four private foundations do tell the IRS exactly that; those are not listed here.

Ordered by number of organizations funded, not by dollars. Funding more organizations means more turnover in who gets a grant each year, which is a reasonable proxy for how often a list like this one changes -- it is not a signal that any specific foundation is open to a new, unsolicited applicant.
